ABANDONING THE TANK
![]() Tank location is identified. Site is prepared to excavate to the top of the tank by placing a tarp on the ground to minimize any damage to property as well as expedite site cleanup |
![]() Soils are typically hand excavated with use of hand tool to expose the top of the tank. |
![]() A hole is cut in the top of the tank to give the ability for a representative of MH Tank Co. to enter the tank. |
![]() The tank is emptied and then entered as to thoroughly clean the interior and make a visual inspection of the tank shell for any evidence of corrosion holes. |
![]() After the tank is cleaned and inspected, a truck delivers gravel to the site. The gravel is either dumped directly into the tank, or placed into a wheelbarrow to deliver to tanks onsite where getting the dump truck to the tank is not possible due to access. |
![]() The tanks interior is then filled to capacity wit import stone in its entirety |
![]() The soils previously removed are placed back atop tank. Both the existing vent and return lines are removed and the site is cleaned up in a workmanlike fashion. |
