MH UNDERGROUND TANK REMOVAL
Tank location is identified. Site is prepared to excavate to the top of the tank. A utility mark-out is completed. |
A hydraulic excavator is mobilized to the site to excavate, and remove tank. |
A hole is cut in the top of the tank to give the ability for a representative of MH Tank Co. to enter the tank. |
The tank is emptied and then entered as to thoroughly clean the interior and make a visual inspection of the tank shell for any evidence of corrosion holes. |
After the tank is cleaned the soils surrounding the tank are removed as to gain access to tank. |
The tank is then removed from the ground |
The tank is placed atop the ground and inspected for any corrosion holes.

Tank is secured on a flatbed, or truck and properly disposed of at a metal recycling facility. |
Excavation is then backfilled to grade. Site is cleaned up in a workmanlike fashion.
